In 2015, Ford announced that it would return to Le Mans in 2016 with the Ford GT.
Under lock and key, the GT was born in a basement. Crafted by only a handful of people, it came as a huge shock to its own workforce when Ford unveiled its new car. Through various clients I’ve been lucky enough to follow the GT on its journey. From the initial unveil of the race car in Ladoux (Michelin Test Track, France), right the way through testing in America. This image is from its first ever race, the Daytona 24 Hours.
Ford went on to win the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans, marking 50 years since its first win in 1966.
